Guest Review: Cowboys Dream Too by Morgan Q. O'Reilly

Tracy's review of Cowboys Dream Too by Morgan Q. O'Reilly

Even a cowboy can dream of a Celtic goddess...But is it just a dream?

From the first time he dreamed of his perfect woman, Gray Dunbar was no longer satisfied by his pre-ordained future on the family dude ranch. She's leading him on, away from Colorado and around the world, until he can't stay away from home any longer.

Reed O'Brien needs a vacation. Her boss's company is falling apart. When a proposed trip to a dude ranch retreat comes along, she jumps at the chance. A stop in Vegas gets the ball rolling -- especially when she meets the one man her boss would love to put out of business.

Is this destined to be war...or love?

Reed O’Brien and her friend Samantha are stopping in Las Vegas before they hit a dude ranch in Colorado. They need some down time and they thing Vegas is the place to relax and unwind. But their first day there Reed meets Gray Dunbar and although she’s a little weary as to how fast he’s moving with her she gives in and agrees to go on a date with him. During the date Reed finds out that Gray is none other than her boss’s biggest business rival, but that doesn’t stop Reed from spending the night with Gray he’s in heaven.

Gray has been having dreams about one particular woman since he was 12. He pretty much formed his life from that time on into something that would be worthy of the woman of his dreams. He just knew he would find her one day and when he did he wanted to be financially secure in order to take care of her. When Gray meets Reed he knows that this is the woman in his dreams but trying to convince her that they are soul mates and supposed to be together ever is taking more time than he thought it would. Even though Reed admits that she’s been having the same dreams! With Reed heading to a dude ranch that just happens to be owned by Gray’s family, and is exactly where he’s heading, Gray plans to spend as much time with Reed as possible convincing her that their relationship is meant to be.

What neither of them counted on was Reed’s boss, Troy, has not only planned the retreat at the dude ranch to go over business but to get Reed in his bed and he’s not giving up on her easily.

I’m not sure what I was expecting after reading the blurb for this book but I was pleasantly surprised. With Gray having the dreams about his Celtic love it seemed a little strange but the way that the author followed things up by giving the dreams a specific meaning in current times was very well done.

I can’t say that I really loved Gray or Reed but I did get to like them and the stubbornness that both of them showed. They were so much alike that it was hard for them not to butt heads but it was written in such a way that it showed the characters true feelings about things. There were some lovely tender parts of the book and of course plenty of smexin…including an incredible tantric massage scene - wow. Cowboys Dream Too was a fun, sexy read.

Rating: 3.75 out of 5
